In Moonlight’s bloom you are tasked with breeding and growing 5 very special flowers: Serene Darkleaf, Honeyed Whitewisp and Ominous Lotus.

To do so you will start with seeds for some common species which you must plant, grow and cross pollinate to obtain new seeds. These seeds will have a combination of traits of the parent plants. It is your mission to understand the relationships between these traits in order to obtain the seeds for our special flowers. You can plant a seed by dragging it from your list of favorites on the left to an empty plot. If you need a free plot don’t be afraid to use your shears to remove a flower you no longer need. If you want to cross pollinate two flowers, you must grow them and use the brush tool on both. If the combination results in a new seed, it will be automatically added to your catalog and your list of favorites.

In Moonlight’s bloom, plants need care to survive. Different plants will have different needs depending on their traits. There are three types of needs: water, fertilizer and moonlight. Having too little or too much of any of these will cause the plant to stop growing, whither and eventually die. Keep an eye on the need indicators and the health warnings.

You can add water or fertiliser when these are lacking. For moonlight you must ensure the plant is in a plot that is getting moonlight or not. You can use a shovel to move a flower to an empty plot. Not all species will survive or be interesting. If you need a free plot don’t be afraid to use your shears to remove a flower.

Use your catalog to browse your known plants to see which ones you might want to breed, what are your objectives or toggle the assist mode. In assist mode you won't need to take care of your plants
